The NTI BizPro Business Professional of the Year 2013 Awards were given to the following Oman businessmen: Qais Mohammed Nasser Al Hinai, senior manager (HR Development), Bank Muscat; Naifin Mohammed Al Mazroui, financial analyst, Oman Oil Marketing Company; and Abbas Irshad Moosa Lawati, assistant manager, ABB. The awards, launched in 2007, were instituted by the National Training Institute, a Renaissance Services Company and seek to “acknowledge, encourage, reward and most importantly, promote the momentous achievements of Omani business professionals in the private sector.”
The trophies were given out by the Director of Renaissance Services, His Highness Sayyid Tarik bin Shabib Al Said. CEO of Renaissance Services, Stephen Thomas, presented three scholarships that will help the winners toward their management education.
According to Oman Cables Industry MD, Hussain Salman Al Lawati, Oman business opportunities today are “limitless” but it is essential to “strike at the right chord” to ensure success. One reason why the awards were set up was, according to KPMG partner Khalid Ansari, was to express the true “commitment to strengthening corporate Oman.” It is the award winners who he believes are “future leaders of corporate Oman and serve as role models for the Omani youth.” All of this is adding to the further growth of Oman business success.
